As we are coming close to Thanksgiving this week, we are all being reminded of what we are thankful for in our lives. Here at the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge, we have SO MUCH to be thankful for and that includes YOU! Shelby and I cannot personally thank each of you enough for all of the hard work you put into volunteering for us. Working with wild animals is a dirty, smelly, sweaty job and we could not do it all without you! Dedicated volunteers are essential to our organization and allows us to do everything we can do for our local native wildlife. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we are able to continue our mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing the injured, sick, and orphaned native wildlife. It’s not an easy job, but we certainly find it rewarding and are glad you are able to help our mission grow each year! |
We are also extremely thankful for our generous donors that keep us running our daily tasks here at the refuge and allow us to move forward into our new property in Navarre next year. Without your wonderful donations, our future could not be as bright as we see it today!
Happy Thanksgiving from the staff and animals at the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge. -Michelle Pettis, Wildlife Health Technician
